Visited July 2007 with Oxygen Thief and Rookinella
With info supplied by Raddog, we parked outside Yardley Green. A quick search for access led us a 2 mile round trip through allotments only to end up where we had started.
After finally finding an entrance, we passed the perimeter buildings for the time being and head for the engineering and maintanence buildings.
Stripped except a few nuts and bolts and old rusty tools.
We moved on to a huge grey building, which was the elderly wards and care homes.
The entrance had a warning notice of 'Sharps' inside. This meant the building was a drug den and needles we left there.
Although we didnt come across any needles, it was clear in rooms that people had been sleeping rough here.
The interior was wrecked, anything of value had been stripped out by scrappies trying to make a bit of money and anything left had been set on fire, presumably by the homeless trying to keep warm.
I wouldn't recommend going here for an explore. Its not worth the risk of meeting the druggies and their needles.
And theres nothing of real value to see.
Its a shame because it could have been a good explore when it first closed.
Theres no other pictures other than the two above, because there wasnt much to take pictures of and what i did take pictures of are out of focus.
