St Clements Hospital, Bow
Visited with Tank and Zero. May 07
On arrival we had a scout round the outside, the hospital was inclosed with high walls and dozens of cctv. So the only option left was the the fence on the main road.
But being in East London, a constant flow of traffic and people everywhere, subtlety wasnt an option.
Once inside the perimeter, we had a search for access in the main buildings, every single door and window had been secured, and by the look of it very recently.
Eventually we found an entrance which would take us into the main block
The main block contained about 7 or 8 wards, banking services for
patients, a prayer room and a psychiatric unit.
Most equipment had been removed with the exception of a few fixtures
and fittings.
We made our way to the clock tower hoping to see the old clock workings
but sadly this had all gone.
There are plenty of outbuildings all very secure, yet to be explored,
but we had to go.
