The Royal Military Academy was created in 1741, to train officers and to improve the engineers and artillery, to help protect British interests overseas.
The Royal Tank Corps and Royal Corps of Signals also drew it officers from the cadets trained at the RMA.
In 1936 the RMA joined with the Royal Military College at Sandhurst.
Unfortunately information is slim on the RMA, i will update as more becomes available.
Current plans are to turn the RMA into housing.
