Visited March 2007 with The Riddlers
Headed straight here after our early wake up in the Lincoln Conservative Club.
We had info of the entrance inside the hospital but after a little bit of searching we found an easier way in.
Although this part of the hospital is abandoned its still
attached to the working section, and with construction workers
everywhere doing maintanence on the roofs we had to be careful we
werent seen through the windows.
After exploring the ground floor, we found the main staircase that gave
us access to all the other floors. The stairs
were completely covered in soot from a fire that had been started on
the ground floor, fortunatly there was no damage
to the stairs and we made our way up to the next level.
On the upper floors we found various pieces of equipment left
behind, but most rooms were empty.
The only rooms that were identifiable from what was left were the
operating theatres, 4 in total, 2 at each end of hospital.
Huge lights that would have lit up the patient, pipes for oxygen,
carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide still on the wall
and metal cabinets that would have held all the surgical instruments.
One wall in each of the theatres was made of misted glass blocks that
curved into the ceiling, allowing extra light into
the room but still able to keep a bit of privacy.
