Visited March 2007 with The Riddlers, Sixxfingers and Madmax
Originally a country house, but its last used was an converted into an annexe of the Sheffield Royal Infirmary and then for rehabilitation for soldiers injured from World War 2.
Met with Sixxfingers, Madmax and Tims at 4 in the morning at a remote services and made our way to Firbeck
It was pitch black but we kept the use of torches to a minimum to avoid giving us away, but once we made our way into the main building, which was the original house, the boarding on the outer windows meant torches could go on and we could have a better look around.
We waited till daylight until we ventured upstairs as we could see the flooring was in a poor state.
We left the main building and headed to the attached buildings which contained a large gymnasium and swimming pool which was used as part of the soldiers rehabilitatioin.
We decided to leave as we had seen pretty much all there was to see, only to be spotted by the onsite game keeper.
