Visited December 2006 with The Riddlers and BenWRX
It was a long drive and a very early start, we had a busy day planned.
The site was surrounded by a double security fence but that was no deterrent. A quick look for a security and it was straight in.
Certain parts of the Asylum were alarmed and there were scatters of motion detectors so we had to be extra careful and stay alert.
Walking around it was obvious that others had been in, either builders or thieves. Surveyors had also been in as surveyors markers were everywhere. Looking out of the window from the first floor gave a good view out onto the rest of the asylum complex.
All in the buildings looked as though they were built of the same style although randomly placed and joined together, very different from other asylum layouts.
We continued walking and found the 'panel' room. Solid wooden panels on the walls and doors completely different from the rest of the buildings. It was clear why thieves hadnt had the chance to steal them - the alarm was set off on us entering the room. We made a quick retreat to the other sides of the asylum and continued exploring.
We got to the main hall when another alarm was set off, this time we decided to call it a day. We made our exit and was leaving the site when we saw a security guard doing a patrol of the exterior
