Cherry Knowles Asylum

Visited March 2007 with The Riddlers

Along walk across fields led us to the the old asylum that sits on a raised area of ground over looking the new hospital.
Cherry Knowles Asylum have been heavily vandalised since its closure.

Once inside we head to the main hall straight away, lots of vandalism and graffiti but surprisingly the stage is still set up from the last play there.
Its a strangley set up asylum as the chapel is above the main hall, so up we go to take some pictures.
After the chapel we have a walk round some of the corridors and head for the swimming pool, another rarity for an asylum to have.

We decide to make a move as security is known for calling the police if he believes anyone to be inside. Walking round the the back of the asylum the way we came, two police cars pull up. We carry on walking and get close to the car only to see a riot van with police dogs parked behind my car and two police officers searching for us. A swift walk to the car and we drove off with the police still looking for us.
